A Tegan and Sara Celebration

Hello everyone. It has been one week since Tegan and Sara wrapped up their final US tour in support of their album “The Con”. My good friends ended their tour by selling out four nights at The Henry Fonda Theatre.

As you may know already, The Fonda has been my favorite theatre in Los Angeles for some time now. It has been a very special place for me that has held so many incredibly beautiful, nearly indescribable, memories.

Each night I found myself somewhere lost in the crowd, just lost in a trance, dancing, shouting and singing along to all those songs which bring me so much joy …until eventually a friend would tap me on the shoulder and say “hey, the show is almost over aren’t you supposed to go on about now?” …and with that I would scramble to the sidelines and get ready for the encore.

If you weren’t able to be there with us I thought I’d take a moment and share some of the highlights from those encores that are out there floating around in the youtube universe.

You might be surprised to know that beyond all the musical bliss …we also had a chance to raise a few of the big questions that are facing us in these uncertain times. Like, for instance:

If you’re rolling down Rodeo …with a shotgun …but you’re on a bicycle …how would that work exactly? …wouldn’t that be awfully difficult? …how would you maintain your balance? …would you steer with your feet? …surely not! …not with a pocket full of shells…

If you watch some of the videos and you’ll see what I’m getting at.

GOODBYE

Before I go I’d like to take a moment to not only thank Tegan And Sara, but also to thank everyone behind the scenes in the T&S family who always make me feel welcome and at home.

And lastly to all those Tegan and Sara fans …thank you for all your kindness, support and for indulging those ridiculously silly and embarrassing dance moves of mine.

I guess, if you’re not willing to embarrass yourself for the ones you love …then how are you supposed to know that you really love them?

All right now, it is time for me, and “Hills” to get back to bed and take another nap.

Until next time,

Nighty, night!
